After being paralized from spinal surgery - She walks again!
Testimonial - Guadalupe Alonso Vasquez
July 25, 2008 - My name is Guadalupe Alonso Vasquez, and I am 36 years old. The following is a short explanation describing my medical condition and how and when it started.
In the past (childhood) I suffered with bronchial asthma, and then seven years ago I started with my Hypoesthesia (Hypersensitivity) in the area of the pelvic with lots of pain particularly in the lower pelvic areas. As of three years ago this condition took a turn for the worst [losing motor control] , at which time medical specialists gave me a battery of tests resulting in a clear diagnosis - which showed clearly multiple sclerosis was the cause of my loss of motor movements.
An M.R.I. revealed multiple tumors in this area, indicating a need to remove the tumors by surgery. This surgery took place on the 20th of Sept. 2003. During this surgery the doctors found that one particular tumor was placing pressure on my spinal cord.
After the surgery, however, I found myself unable to move at all! No leg movement, no arm movement. My doctor and other specialists informed me that my chances of bettering my condition was little to none. This prognosis was given to me in 2006, which then led me to agree to another surgery to see if pressure could be relieved from my spinal cord, and maybe regain some movement of my legs and arms. (The surgery failed to produce any change.)
Then in 2007 I heard the name of a special doctor by the name of Alfredo Juan Estrada Cadena, and that this doctor was treating people with medical problems like mine and getting wonderful results.
Of course with fears and doubts I took a chance and went to see Dr. Estrada. Dr. Estrada requested new images of my spine, and after examining this new material, he told me that there was lots of work to do and that he felt he could achieve good results using ozone treatments and cordblood stem cell treatments - this gave me a new hope of walking again and having a better life once again. To me this was great, this meant no more asking for help from anyone and doing things for myself [if the treatment was successful].
START OF TREATMENT:
August 2, 2007, I received my first cordblood stem cell treatment and several treatments of ozone (O3). What I felt was the following, there was at first some vomiting and some pain in the injection areas but this lasted for two hours and then I started to feel better - by that I mean my legs and arms started to feel lighter and warm. Then after 12 hours I started to feel strange things like something circulating through my legs, and my abdominal area was softer when before it was hard and cramping. That night for the first time in a long time I slept wonderfully.
August 3, 2007
This morning was one of my most wonderful mornings ever, I awoke to being able to move a little my left leg. I also felt my waist able to move to my right and then to my left with very little pain - almost none. To feel all this gave me so much more energy and hope, this got me to be more motivated and start to smile more.
From that day on I was able to move my legs more and in any direction that I needed. Then the movements became easier. Days after, I called my family and showed them the results I was having and they all were crying and very happy for me. I, at that time, still had a little pain in my spinal area but I was able to handle it with no problem.
I continued to have this treatment every week for several weeks and in the begining of Sept, of the same year I was able to stand-up by myself. Later that week I was able to take a few steps with a walker. This got me happier and full of plans to continue treatments. Having this new frame of mind, I was able to walk more and I was able to use the bathroom and shower by myself. This meant a lot to me. Once again I was almost normal. This was after all specialists and all other kinds of doctors said that I would never be able to move my body normally again.
Thanks to God and to Dr. Estrada I am able to walk with a walker, and I am able to get into a car without any one carrying me and putting me into a car. This sounds like so little, but to me it is a great deal and a wonderful feeling for me and my family.
I am still continuing my treatments with Dr. Estrada, and I am a happier and more productive person to this day. I hope that this testimonial gets read by people with medical conditions similar to mine and I hope that this will give them HOPE so they will take the first step for treatments.
Offering hope and respect,
GUADALUPE ALONSO VAZQUEZ
